Drive-thru Measurements

We have developed a measurement infrastructure for assessing the characteristics of Drive-thru Internet links. In essence, we have measured throughput and latency with respect to different WLAN configurations, and we have evaluated transport protocol performance, especially TCP performance, under Drive-thru conditions.

The fundamental observation was that the general idea of Drive-thru Internet is feasible and that significant throughput rates can be achieved when driving through a Drive-thru cloud.
